Michael J. Porter, President
Michael has been in the public/investor relations industry for more than 40 years and co-founded PLR in 1970. In addition, he has served on the board of several publicly held companies. In his earlier career, Michael was an analyst and portfolio manager for a NYSE member firm and major institution. Michael has a BS in Finance from Rider College and has completed The Owners, President and Management course at Harvard University School of Business in May 2004.
Lucille Belo, Chief Operating Officer
Lucille has been with PLR since the agency was founded in 1970. She is an integral ingredient in account programming and execution and oversees company-wide operations, including the media, investor relations, editorial, and human relations departments. Her 30 years’ experience working with management of small and mid-cap companies gives Lucille extensive knowledge that she uses to ensure quality output and to maximize client exposure, as well as to provide PLR and its clients with insight and knowledge of almost every facet of investor and public relations.
Linda Decker, Vice President - Investor Relations
With more than 18 years of experience in investor relations/public relations, Linda has a diverse knowledge of manufacturing, technology, and consumer products, as well as reams of financial contacts. She will communicate with the investment community on your behalf through telemarketing, arranging one-on-one and group meetings. She also regularly follows-up with the Street to update our IR program based on input from current and potential investors.
Marlon Nurse, Vice President Investor Relations
Marlon has approximately 12 years’ experience in investor relations. Prior to Porter, LeVay, & Rose, Marlon worked at Thomson Financial. In addition to strategically positioning his clients with the investment community, he analyzed the impact of reverse mergers, dividend payout changes, and acquisitions on shareholder valuation. Previously, he was at Georgeson & Company, Inc., where some of his clients included United Technologies, ITT Industries, Maytag Corporation, and Thomas & Betts. He has a BA in Management/Finance from Manhattanville College and a MA in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix, where he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Management.
Cheryl Schneider
Cheryl has more than 25 years’
experience in investor relations and communications. She works with the
teams to develop strategic communications and provide counsel to our
clients. Her experience in regulatory and disclosure issues helps clients
implement best practices. Prior to joining PLR, Cheryl worked as a
consultant and in management at other New York-based investor relations
firms. Previously, she was Managing Director of the American Stock
Exchange, where she was responsible for developing the investor relations
division, providing investment community outreach programs for listed
companies. Her MBA is in Marketing and International Business from New York
University’s Stern School of Business and she holds a BA in French from the
State University of New York at Binghamton, and studied at the Université de
Besançon in France. She is a past officer and director of the New York
Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute. Bill Gordon, Senior Vice President Media Relations
Bill has over 15 years experience in public relations. At Porter, LeVay & Rose, he develops and implements media strategies that serve clients' corporate and product needs. Prior to re-joining PLR in 2007, he worked at such PR firms as Ruder Finn, Ogilvy Worldwide and Manning Selvage & Lee. He has helped raise awareness and drive valuation for such companies as Agouron Pharmaceuticals, Novartis Oncology and Ticketmaster, and has orchestrated high-profile product- and category-awareness campaigns that in many cases involved celebrities, prominent government officials and advocates. Also an author, he published his first novel, Mary After All through the Dial Press, a division of Random House and has penned articles for The New York Times Magazine and Newark Star-Ledger, among others. He holds a Master's degree in writing from Columbia University and a Bachelor's in English & Communications from Syracuse University, and has served as an adjunct professor at Drew University in Madison, NJ.
Sonja Ryan, Operations Manager
Sonja has been with PLR since 1987. She works in client services and is responsible for hiring, training and supervising the support staff to ensure that detailed activities, such as news release distribution, corporate information materials, and client reports are executed efficiently. At the same time, she is also responsible for maintaining client contracts and the scheduling of client quarterly earnings conference calls. Sonja works closely with Michael Porter and coordinates his schedule.
Matthew Abenante, Account Associate
Matthew joined PLR in August of 2006. He earned his Bachelors degree in Finance & Investments from Bernard Baruch college in New York City.
